See you soon!
Enoch flew into Oklahoma today. He'll be there for two weeks. I think I'll be posting a lot of pictures between now and then so he can see us all.

7-eleven
I made a phone call to 7-eleven yesterday. The conversation went something like this:
Me: Hi, my dad was at your store earlier and he thinks he may have left his wallet there.
Store: What time was that at?
Me: Around 3
Store: Well, I wasn't working then
other pertinent information was exchanged
Me: The last time he had it was at the ATM
Store: The ATM? Well, if someone found it they wouldn't give it in.
Me: Oooooooooookay. Thank you.
I chuckled to myself when I hung up. Thankfully no one did find it at the ATM, because it was in my house!

A different kind of moving
It was funny to catch Seth still climbing into the big bed in his new room. They do like having their own space and we enjoy seeing them growing up!

We're moving!
Enoch accepted the job offer in Oklahoma City. He starts in a couple of weeks. He'll be able to work from DC until we are able to sell our house. That may take a long time since the market is so bad, but we'll keep you posted.
I'm excited and nervous. The kids seem excited, though I don't think they can quite grasp the concept yet. If you think of us, we wouldn't mind your prayers.
Verse for thought: "By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went." Hebrews 11:8
A day in pics
I didn't capture the whole day, but I'm sure there's more than enough here!
Tabitha LOVES to paint and color and do puzzles. When I say the tv has to go off, she usually runs to her table and partakes of one of these activities.

The artwork:

A really good picture of Seth. I can never get him to smile and look at the camera. Here he was posing for me and before I had a chance to snap the pic he started running to me so he could look at the picture. I guess he was excited, because I caught his smile.

In the afternoon we received a package from my brother and his family. The kids Christmas gifts (thank you very much!). Among other things, Tabitha received a baking set. She insisted on making cookies right away. Here she is laboring away:

Meanwhile, Seth was stuffing as much dough in his mouth as he could before he got in trouble for doing so:

Another good one of him. Two in one day, woohoo.

Their posing with the final result. I figured since I just sent out my Christmas cards today, I guess it's ok if the kids decorated the cookies green and red. (Tabitha is actually keeping Patricia from grabbing them all!)

Who can resist ending the day with a spaghetti baby?

Verse for thought: "And the Lord was with Joseph and he was a prosperous man...
Joseph's master took him and put him into the prison...but the Lord was with Joseph."
Genesis 39:2,20,21

A verse misplaced
I often think of a snippet I heard from a message many years ago. It always brings a smile to my face. Hopefully it will bring one to yours:
"I sometimes hear of verses being misquoted or misinterpreted, but I'll never forget the day I saw a verse misplaced. Above a church nursery door these words were found: 'Behold, I show you a mystery, we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed.' I Corinthians 15:51"
